GHCT Organises Security Training for Kakum National Park Staff
The Ghana Heritage Conservation Trust in Partnership with the Ghana Police Service is organising a three (3) day security training for the sole purpose of enhancing the capacity of the staff stationed at the Kakum National Park, whose primary responsibility is to ensure safety of all tourists and visitors who patronise the facilities at the park. The Kakum National Park staff totalling about 80 , consists of personnel from the Wildlife Division of the Forestry Commission, Community Tour Guides, Visitors Relations Officers, Maintenance and Security personnel. The training covers security related topics such as; traffic control management, arrest procedures and handling of suspects, crime scene management, surveillance and code of conduct/ethics.
